ID: 4280 Location: WYOMING This small community is in search of an EM doctor to join their current ED group. This is an employed position for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician. There are many advantages with this position, for instance, the shifts are 8 hours and there is singled, double and triple coverage. For a fulltime employee 10 shifts of 8 hours each a month is required. There are 25,000 patients seen annually at this Level II Trauma Emergency Department. There are 7 bays in the Emergency Department and the Hospital is in the process of renovation and will soon undergo a $90M upgrade. A walk-in clinic has been opened to help alleviate some of the patient load from the ED. The compensation package is competitive and includes life, malpractice and tail, vision, health, dental, disability, CME of $5,000, 5% match for the 403B and semi-annual bonuses. ID: 6626 Location: WYOMING ROCK SPRINGS Full-Time, MEDICAL DIRECTOR, Memorial Hospital Of Sweetwater County We are seeking a physician who is board certified in emergency medicine to join our team as medical director of the emergency department at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyoming. This newly constructed 18,000-square-foot ED opened in December 2008 with 22 beds (all private rooms), 2 major critical care/ trauma rooms, and 2 psychiatric rooms with separate observation area. There is also a separate Fast Track, 2 triage rooms, and bedside registration. The ED is divided into 3 distinct podsGÇögold, silver, and bronze. The acuity level of the patient determines which pod will assume treatment of the patient. All pods are fully staffed. This hospital is a Level 3 trauma hospital with an approximately 10% admission rate. Transfers are mostly fixed wing, with less acute going by ground. AirMed stations 1 fixed-wing aircraft at Rock Springs International Airport 24 hours a day. The ED transfers approximately 45 to 55 patients a month, mostly to Salt Lake City. Rock Springs is in Sweetwater County, and if you are a history buff, fisherman, hunter, skier, or any kind of outdoor enthusiast, Sweetwater County is the place for you. Sweetwater County offers year-round recreational opportunities, world-class fishing, and magnificent vista viewing. Here you are a mere 30 minutes away from the largest active sand dunes in the United States. Antelope are frequently seen near the hospital, and herds of wild horses run just a few miles away. You will find elk and deer in the region, and occasionally big horn sheep. Just a short, no-traffic-light drive will take you to Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Park City, Steamboat Springs, and Salt Lake City. And Wyoming has no state income tax. Home to 56 nationalities, Rock Springs is a true melting pot. Formed by the railroad and coal industries, the area continues to play a leadership role in the energy production for the nation. ID: 4630 Location: WYOMING Practice Emergency Medicine in new state-of-the-art ED! ED Team has seen very little turnover, director has been there 16 years. They are looking to add an EM Physician to replace a physician that is leaving due to personal health issues. They are happy to consider FP/IM boarded docs with 2-3 years EM experience. ED sees approx 11K cases year; and acuity can be high, however they have no trauma level designation. Docs work single coverage, 12 hr shifts (7-7); 12 per month, but the opportunity to work more is there. The incoming physician can expect to work an equal mix of day and night shifts. New ED was built two years ago and is described as state-of-the-art with ultrasound and 64 slice CT present. They have an awesome nursing staff that is adored by all. Administration is very receptive to ED needs and wants. As a hospital employee the EM physician will be receiving $131 an hour ($150/hr for holidays). PTO is accrued at a rate of 2 days per month which can be cashed out if preferred. Also offering $6K CME allowance, contribution towards benefits and retirement, paid occurrence malpractice coverage, and a $10K sign-on bonus.
