The two facilities are Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro and Forest Grove Hospital in Forest Grove. The ED at Tuality has an annual volume of 31,000. This higher-than-average acuity ED is staffed with four or five 9-hour physician shifts and one NP shift daily. ID: 6717 Location: OREGON Coastal - Director - $300K+ This is an outstanding opportunity for a board certified emergency physician who is looking for a terrific administrative position with a long term commitment. This is a great spot for an older director who wants a less stressful environment or a talented newcomer. The group is willing to provide training to someone who has demonstrated administrative ability and has some experience in that arena. This group will provide total support and the position is with a strong community hospital located in a beautiful harbor-side village along the coast. This hospital has an 8-bed ED that is busy during the summer season (June until September) and pretty much a cake-walk off season, seeing an annual total of 15,000 patients. Acuity is on the low side, though the ED is a designated level 3 trauma center. The patient mix/pathology is broad, particularly during season. Physicians work 12 hour shifts on single coverage except during season when PAs/NPs provide additional coverage 12 hours daily. All trauma, PICU and Neuro cases are transferred to Portland, 90 minutes away. This position pays $140.00 per clinical hour on an Independent Contractor status that includes full malpractice and tail coverage. The director will be doing approximately 130 hours of clinical a month. An administrative stipend will range from $4K to $7K a month, depending upon experience. Performance bonuses will take the income up to and potentially over $300K. Special cafeteria benefits are available at pre-tax dollars and group financial advisers teach how to reap the tax and financial benefits of IC status. This is a gorgeous area of the coast that has a strong arts community and a wide variety of outdoor activities to choose from, including a lovely, active harbor.
