Candidates must be residency trained in Emergency Medicine. The ED is contracted to a forward-thinking small group that has established a cutting-edge Better ED practice model that has proved to be highly effective in reducing physician stress while improving both the quality and time-frame of patient care. Their physician and patient satisfaction numbers are exceptionally high. The ED has a current census of 19K and has a level 3 trauma designation pending. They are a full EMS base command with both air and ground capability. The physical plant is gorgeous and state-or the art with a brand new fast track, 20 treatment bays and full trauma suites. The hospital specialty back-up is excellent and hospital administration is very supportive. Physicians work 12-hour shifts on a single coverage basis, supported by PAs 24/7. Scribes are being introduced to the ED to handle patient charting and documentation. The incoming physician will enjoy a flexible schedule, with an average of 12 12-hour clinical shifts a month. Clinical income will be between $180 and $200 per hour depending upon experience. Additional RVU & performance-based incentive income will provide additional cash up to $150K per year for a top producer. Full malpractice and tail coverage is provided by the group. All physicians in the group work as Independent Contractors and enjoy group support in establishing the best tax and financial choices for taking ultimate advantage of that status.
