ID: 4597 Location: MISSOURI Stable group of 6 physicians is bringing in an additional physician in the ED. This group is more than content on the job with most being there more than 5 years. They will look at FP/IM boarded physicians. The group is practicing in a community hospital seeing 27K patients a year in the ED. While acuity can be high, very little trauma is treated and admission rate is in the realm of 8-10%. Physicians work 12 hr shifts; with triple coverage from 3-10 pm. The incoming physician can expect to work between 132 and 144 hours per month, which equals 11 to12 shifts a month. Nurses are also a very good, stable group who have seen very little turnover. The ED was just remodeled and doubled in size last March. Compensation is $150 per hour with an incentive program in place. Benefits include CME allowance, disability coverage, retirement contribution and claims made malpractice coverage.
