Southern Illinois Medical Services seeks Emergency Department Medical Directors at two of its facilities: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale and Herrin Hospital. The Medical Director position requires a minimum of only 10 shifts per month and pays up to 10 hours/week for administrative duties, allowing you time to excel in both roles. Options are available for either independent contractor or employed status with annual incentives in addition to the hourly rate. Memorial Hospital of Carbondale is a 132-bed facility with a 21-bed ED and 6-bed fast track, and an annual ED volume of 29K visits/year. Herrin Hospital, a 104-bed facility, is currently under construction for a new 17-bed ED and 6-bed fast track to be completed Fall 2010. Herrin Hospital sees 20K visits/year.
