at Princeton Community Hospital.

- 30-bed ED
- Annual volume is approximately 24,000 in main ED
- 23,500 in the Fast Track
- Mid-level coverage 22 hours a day in the main ED
- 32 hours of physician coverage daily
- Additional Fast Track coverage
- Flexible scheduling; 10- and 12-hour shifts in the main ED

Acuity is moderate with an 18 percent admission rate
A Hospital Medicine program coordinates care with the ED
BC or BE in Emergency Medicine
OR Primary Care specialty with experience in Emergency Medicine
ACLS and PALS, if not certified in Emergency Medicine
Competitive compensation

Princeton Community Hospital: This 211-bed hospital opened in 1970. Since its inception, the staff has grown from 13 physicians and 125 employees to more than 100 doctors and 1,000 employees. In 2002, the construction of the spacious new Parkview Center was completed.
The center provides space for the hospital's pharmacy and physical therapy services, an expanded surgical suite of nine operating rooms, post-anesthesia care unit, and central service area, and the Women's Center. That same year, extensive renovations were finalized on the hospital’s emergency department, expanding the department to three times its former size. |

Princeton, with a population of approximately 8,000, is the county seat of Mercer County. The county is part of the Bluefield, WV-VA micropolitan area, which has a population of 111,000. (See the Map)
 Mercer County is rated among top 100 communities for youth and has an excellent school system with a broad curriculum and a strong alliance with the business community. Of the many sporting events in Mercer County, there are two Appalachian league professional baseball teams - Bluefield Orioles (Baltimore) and Princeton Rays (Tampa Bay).
Princeton is well-known throughout the state as one of West Virginia's bright spots because of its progressive attitude and potential. The signs of economic prosperity and progress are everywhere. Princeton remains West Virginia's "business friendly" city with business tax incentive programs to encourage value-added manufacturing businesses to locate there.

 The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests are U.S. National Forests that combine to form one of the largest areas of public land in the Eastern United States. They cover 1.8 million acres of land in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Approximately one million acres of the forest are remote and undeveloped. Near-by is the spectacular Blue Ridge Parkway.

Charlottesville is also known as one of the most scenic spots in the Mid-Atlantic and is quickly becoming an entertainment destination with the restored Paramount Theater, the newly built Charlottesville Amphitheater and The John Paul Jones Arena. Here visitors will see spectacular scenery and play on championship courses designed by some of the industry's top architects, or visit Monticello, the home Jefferson designed and redesigned, built and rebuilt over the course of four decades.
Two hours away is Charlotte, North Carolina...
 Charlotte, with a population of 650,000, has become a major U.S. financial center, as the location of the nation's largest financial institution by assets, Bank of America. It is also the home of several Fortune 500 companies and US Motorsports (NASCAR). Charlotte offers many diverse attractions to be expected in vibrant, 21st century city.
