Since 1968, the 79 bed CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital has provided health care services to Jasper residents and the surrounding communities. It offers the latest technology in medical care and provides a spectrum of adult, pediatric, geriatric, emergency, medical, surgical and obstetrical care as well as a wide arrange of ambulatory services. These services are offered in a compassionate health care setting.

 Sabine National Forest located in the pineywoods of East Texas is the easternmost of the four national forests in Texas and forms part of the boundary between Texas and Louisiana. The Forest outlines Toledo Bend Reservoir, the fifth largest man-made reservoir in the United States and a nationally known recreation attraction. Recreational activities include camping, picnicking, boating, hunting and fishing and a 28 mile trail between the Lakes for hiking. The woods are also open to bicycles and horseback riders.
Nestled among the tall pines of east Texas and adjacent to Lake Sam Rayburn is Rayburn Country Resort & Country Club.
