	ETMC Henderson is a full-service hospital serving East Texas since 1928 and is devoted to improving the lives of those in the community. They provide a wide range of medical services including surgery, obstetrics, radiology, physical and cardic rehabilitation and emergency care. More than a million people call East Texas home. They live in communities ranging in population from fewer than 500 to more than 50,000 and every year ETMC serves more than 300,000 of them. The system is organized so that primary care is provided in the rural health clinics. Secondary care is also provided locally in the ETMC affiliate hospitals. High-level secondary and tertiary care is provided at ETMC Tyler. ETMC EMS provides emergency care and medically necessary transportation within the region and ETMC Home Health covers the entire system.

Henderson, with a population of 11,000, is in the National Register because of its Downtown Historic Square. The city has 19 historical markers, including homes dating from the 1880's, churches, and colleges. Downtown Henderson is one of the most dramatic and charming downtowns in the East Texas area. Upscale shopping, eateries, antiques, custom jewelry and more are found in the downtown! Colorful canvas awnings highlight the ornate buildings, which house Henderson's downtown merchants and offer shade to downtown shoppers visiting the various antiques stores, clothing stores, and dining facilities lining the Main Streets. 	Dallas is home to the famous Dallas Cowboys, who, in June 2009, celebrated the opening of their new stadium in Arlington. This is a state-of-the-art facility that has raised the bar well above that of other sport and event venues in other states. Other Dallas teams include the Texas Rangers (baseball), the Dallas Mavericks (basketball) and the Dallas Stars (hockey).
The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center opened in September of 1989 and has been a crossroads of artistic excellence ever since. The Meyerson is located in the Downtown Dallas Arts District and is home to the world-class Dallas Symphony Orchestra and other Dallas-based cultural organizations like the Turtle Creek Chorale, the Dallas Wind Symphony and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. The City Performance Hall is a multi-disciplinary center that will bring to the Dallas Arts District a broad range of cultural performances and events by a growing group of small and midsize cultural organizations that represent all artistic disciplines and the diverse heritages of the community. The City Performance Hall will be a gateway to the Arts District Shopping is a big reason many people come to Dallas, which has the most shopping centers per capita of any metropolitan area in the United States. The most notable is North Park Center with over 2 million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment. The Galleria Dallas is a high-end shopping experience as is Highland Park Village
