  • Berkeley Heights, located in Union County, has a population of 13,200.   • Although Union County is located less than an hour's drive west of Manhattan, the residents experience a suburban lifestyle. Union County is home to Passaic Valley Park and The Watchung Reservation, which has hiking trails, horseback riding trails, a large lake (Lake Surprise) and picnic areas.

  • Travel by car to Manhattan takes about an hour and New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, which runs from New York City's Pennsylvania Station, provides service at the Middletown rail station.
